CHI THERAPY
About 1 in 4 adults have a disability that impacts their major life activities. The two leading disabilities are lack of mobility and impaired cognition. This lack of movement, in turn, increases immobility and mental dysfunction, which in turn declines as time progresses. If both disabilities are vastly improved, slowed down, or maybe even reversed by movement, then this creates critical oxygenation and circulation, both physically and mentally. Daily movement of the body is the foundation of health due to oxygenation and lymphatic detoxification of the cells. If we don't move, our bodies keep in toxins, the cells lack oxygen to perform optimally, and the brain becomes foggy and slow.
To help with this movement, SOQI Beds were created by Japanese scientists as a FIR health spa (or dry sauna; zero sweating) that couples gentle oscillating movements brought by the Chi machine and FIR heat therapy through the use of FIR heat domes. This combination brings motion and solar energy together to provide a plethora of health benefits and reinvigorates the nervous system.

How is Chi Therapy Delivered at Scape?

SOQI Bed - Chi Machine:
At Scape, Chi machines are provided as part of our SOQI beds. Why? Because the Chi machine provides gentle oscillating movements helpful for the body’s wellness. The original Chi machine was designed by Dr Shizou Inoue, a Japanese scientist, to enable the human body to gently sway from side to side in a figure “8” (the way a goldfish swims) with no pressure or stress to the body. Dr. Inoue discovered that the undulation of the goldfish's spine released the required oxygen the fish needed to survive. He also noticed the flexibility of the spine due to the very specific side to side motion which is hard for humans to duplicate on their own accord. Japanese engineers worked with his concept and created the technical design for the original Chi Machine which uses minimum effort and achieves maximum results through the specific figure of “8” motion to receive maximum health benefits. The actual side to side goldfish motion massages and stimulates the autonomic nervous system that is within the spine, further promoting rest and relaxation.

SOQI Bed - FIR Heat Therapy Domes:

As discussed in Far Infrared Heat Therapy, this form of heat therapy utilizes far-infrared radiation to generate heat that penetrates deep into the body and is considered to be one of the most beneficial therapies for pain and wellness. For example, when you step outside into the sun you can feel warmth caused by far infrared rays, an invisible light. That warm resonating feeling you get from the far infrared rays speaks to our bodies’ need for rays of sunlight. That warm feeling can be harnessed to improve our wellness.
At Scape, as part of these SOQI beds, we used FIR heat therapy. Why? Because combined with movement, FIR heat therapy (solar energy) provides additional health benefits. The FTIR heat domes are used because distance is very important when applying FIR heat therapy. These domes are designed to be very close to the body, within inches, for optimal health benefits. The FIR heat emitted from the domes is gently controlled dry heat, which helps to release toxins into the bloodstream and are eliminated through the excretory system.
What are Some Benefits from Using a SOQI Bed?
-
Relaxation
-
SOQI Beds offer relaxation and stress reduction through the combination of various therapeutic elements.
-
-
Pain Reduction
-
The system may help to reduce and even alleviate muscle and joint pain through heat therapy and massage.
-
-
Inflammation Reduction
-
By stimulating blood flow in the lower parts of the body, it can aid in loosening up stiff joints and muscles of the legs and lower back. This effect has the added advantage of reducing any form of pressure or swelling in the lower part of the body.
-
-
Detoxification
-
Far-infrared heat therapy is thought to support detoxification and overall well-being.
-
Some proponents suggest that it may help with lymphatic system function and detoxification.
-
-
Stress Relief
-
Massage therapy components and rhythmic movement can provide stress relief that can help to relieve muscle tension and stiffness.
-
-
Improved Blood Circulation
-
The combination of therapies, especially the oscillating movement, may enhance blood circulation and energy flow.
-
NOTE: While many individuals report positive experiences with SOQI beds, more scientific research is needed to establish the full extent of its therapeutic potential as a holistic wellness system.
Are SOQI Beds Safe?
SOQI beds are generally safe when used in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines. Users with specific medical conditions should consult with healthcare professionals to ensure its suitability.

Are There Any Precautions to Take When Using a SOQI Bed?
